  • Procedure

  • Recovery

Dermabrasion is a surgical procedure that may cause bruising and swelling. You may experience some crusting, it’s important that you do not pick at the crusts. Instead, let them fall off naturally to prevent scarring. Most patients return to work after 2 weeks of recovery.

Recovery time of each chemical peel varies depending on the intensity. All patients will experience some redness and irritation, and can expect some crusting to occur. Do not pick at these crusts. Those that choose a moderate or harsh chemical peel can expect scabbing to occur. It’s important that you do not pick at these scabs. Ensure that you keep the treated area moist with ointment.
